The Best of 2011

I am a sucker for those "Best of" articles. I figure if a blogger takes the time to review the posts for the past year and really evaluate the most popular or their favorites, then those are some good recipes involved. With that idea in mind, I am providing you a simple referral to all those wonderful posts with only one requirement. YOU must comment on the recipes you have tried, want to try, and loved or hated. You may not read on until you make that solemn vow!

Two Peas and Their Pod really hit the spot when they each listed their favorites. One of my favorites is on their list also: Cinnamon Baked French Toast. I will be trying their Biscoff Oatmeal Cookies and Gooey Cinnamon Biscuits.

Another hit is In Katrina's Kitchen (and I really like that this is her first year blogging). From her Behind the Apron I will be trying her 5 Minute Fancy Frosting, Peanut Butter Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake, and Peanut Butter Truffle Brownies.  I think Katrina and I have two things in common besides being new bloggers: peanut butter and chocolate!

On The Little Kitchen list of top ten recipes for 2011 there are many (even wholesome and healthy) yummies but sweetly speaking these caught my eye: Peanut Butter Cup Cupcakes, New York Times Chocolate Chip Cookies, and Mini Meyer Lemon Bundt Cakes.

Homemade Hostess Cupcakes on What Megan's Making

Another great Top 10 list of 2011 favorites is on What Megan's Making. I will be making her Summer Peach Cake and Homemade Hostess Cupcakes (they have been on my list for a few months because they are sooo darn cute!). Now who could resist the Cookie Dough Truffles for next holiday season, really?

Although this didn't make Megan's list of top 10, I still plan on trying this one: Chocolate Peppermint Cupcakes, YUM! And sooo cute! 

Another favorite blogger is Recipe Girl! Her Best Recipes of 2011 is fabulous! Where to begin??? Since we are talking about the sweet side of treats I would recommend her Red Velvet Cheesecake Cake, Pumpkin Cinnamon Roll Pancakes (really, for breakfast?), Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Brownies, and Gooey Chocolate Chip Sandwich Bars. Yummmmy!

Last, but not least, (I do have to publish this sometime) is the wonderful site Cupcakes Take the Cake and their top 10 for 2011! Irish Car Bomb Cupcakes (I can't wait for St. Patrick's Day!), Starlight Mint Cupcakes, and Cadbury Cream Cupcakes!

Each of these blogs have way too many wonderful ideas to present them all and my suggestion is that you check out their lists yourself. After all, my prejudices often get in the way of what I present (you know; no coconut, lots of peanut butter and chocolate, etc...). Also, many of these blogs have fantastic everyday food ideas like Root Beer Pulled Pork Sandwiches and Cajun Turkey Pot Pies.
